New Pokemon Legends ZA Release Date, Mega Evolution Collectibles, Jazwares Figures & More!

Get ready, Pokemaniacs! The Pokemon Company International has just confirmed that Pokemon Legends ZA is officially launching on Thursday, October 16th, 2025. Along with the release date, we also got our first look at the box art. While it might feel like an unconventional choice to some, it's definitely growing on me as a clean, stylized wallpaper-worthy piece.

Pre-Order Details and Bonuses

Pre-orders officially open June 5th, and both digital and physical versions will be available for the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. If you pre-order the standard Switch version, you'll be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version later via the Nintendo eShop.

If you're in the U.S., U.K., or Canada, and you pre-order through Pokemon Center, you'll receive a randomly chosen Sitting Cutie plush of Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile. There’s no way to select which one you'll get, and remember: Pokemon Center has historically only offered physical versions, which means your copy will be shipped—possibly causing a delay in your ability to play on launch day.

Meanwhile, U.K. and European fans who order from the My Nintendo Store can expect additional bundles, including:

  • A Partner Pokemon Figure

  • Mega Evolution-themed bundles like the Trainer Bundle and Champion's Choice Bundle, each with unique collectibles

Micromania in France is also offering the Partner Pokemon Figure with pre-orders.

We’re hoping for more cool bonuses like steelbooks or even exclusive in-game content, and we’ll definitely learn more at the upcoming Pokemon Presents on July 22nd.

Jazwares Collectibles: New Skeledirge Figure & More

Jazwares fans, it's happening! We finally have photos of the Skeledirge Epic Battle Figure, and it's looking solid—about 9.8" long (~25 cm). These larger figures are usually priced around $20 and are more about display than articulation.

Still no word on Tyrantrum in the U.S., though reports suggest it may have surfaced in Australia. And Golurk? Still missing in action.

Walmart has listings for new Jazwares Iridescent Figures, also labeled "high gloss". They're essentially existing molds but with a glossy, wet-look finish. They're unusual... but strangely appealing.

Pokemon Center Updates: Mega Evolution Takes Over

The English Pokemon Center dropped new Mega Evolution pins and apparel, and announced restocks of the Mega Evolution plushies—so keep your eyes peeled if you missed out the first time.

Japan’s Moncolle & Premium Figures

Moncolle Mega Evolution Figures are arriving in July and include:

  • Gardevoir

  • Tyranitar

  • Charizard X

  • Mawile

  • Ampharos

These are some of the most collectible figures around at a $6 to $7 price point.

For high-end collectors, the Team Star Mobiles are finally releasing. They're 8" tall with light-up features and currently priced over $200 USD.

Launching June 7th, the Otenki Collection features weather-themed Pokemon like Kyogre and Groudon in all kinds of fun products: umbrellas, plush, t-shirts, an hourglass, and even a Pelipper candy dispenser.
